![]() Urahara retrieves the pill, with the intention to destroy it, but Rukia arrives and takes it from him. ![]() Ichigo is surprised that they can see him in his shinigami form. Urahara uses his cane to push the soul candy, and therefore the Mod Soul, out of Ichigo’s body. They’re interrupted by Urahara and his gang. After seeing so many of his kind destroyed, he explains that this is why he has such strong feelings about not wanting to see others killed. The Mod Soul recounts his fear at being eliminated at the hands of the Soul Society, and, in pill form, barely escaping their clutches. Ichigo and the Mod Soul are beginning to understand each other a little. After witnessing a terrifying supernatural fight, and some random high school student inexplicably attacking them, they try to explain the turn of events to their teacher, and instead get punished for playing video games. They seem to make a pretty good tag team though, and defeat the hollow. Ichigo and Mod Soul Ichigo start bickering at each other, because, of course they do. ![]() The fight doesn’t seem to be going well, until Ichigo doubles back and steps into the fight as well. The hollow is seen slowly creeping up behind the kids, but is thwarted by the Mod Soul’s attack. This definitely doesn’t seem like an evil character, more like a misunderstood one. He expresses concern that it might attack the school kids he encountered earlier. While fleeing, the Mod Soul also detects the hollow, which makes sense, given the reason they were created in the first place. The Mod Soul flees yet again, and Ichigo and Rukia go after the hollow. Ichigo will hopefully fare better this time, except the fight is interrupted by a mission to go destroy a hollow. We cut back to the fight between Ichigo and the Mod Soul. ![]() They look like they’re going to be gearing up for a mission to handle the situation, complete with what looks like some, er, interesting-looking weaponry. Their moment is then interrupted by Tessai and Jinta. Kisuke is turning out to be a pretty decent guy. She gets it pretty easily, with Kisuke assuring her that things would turn out fine. ![]() Tearful and ashamed at her mishap in the previous episode, and its potentially damaging consequences, she begs his forgiveness. Ichigo face-off, but with a quiet, intimate moment between Kisuke Urahara, the store-owner, and Ururu, his underling. This episode doesn’t begin, predictably, with the continuation with the Ichigo vs. ![]()
